By Ehren Wynder – July 17, 2020
Susanne Pettigrew joined the True Women’s Health team at the recently opened clinic in Grand Rapids.
As an accomplished physician assistant, Pettigrew provides medical care and patient consultations. She is a nationally certified menopause practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. She will work alongside Dr. Diana Bitner to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals.
Previously, Pettigrew was the cancer survivorship coordinator at Spectrum Health and provided consultations at the Spectrum Health Cancer Menopause and Sexual Health Clinic and Spectrum Health High Risk Breast Cancer Clinic. She also has more than 30 years of experience in primary care.
“I have a passion for excellence and innovation in patient care, which aligns with True Women’s Health’s values,” Pettigrew said. “We can optimize a woman’s health by addressing the whole woman, including her mind, body and spirit, as well as her values, preferences and beliefs. Joining the clinic will allow me to bring together much of what I have learned over the years in family practice, women’s health, integrative medicine and cancer survivorship.”
Pettigrew also specializes in addressing hormonal and sexual issues after cancer treatment. Her mission aligns with True Women’s Health’s goal of supporting women to form habits that positively contribute to everyday wellness through all stages of aging, not only midlife and menopause.
